THE LARGE PLATFORM

The SAMATEC EVO5 aerial platform and harvesting machine has been developed specifically for customers who require a larger platform. The platform of the EVO5 is 40 cm longer than that of the EVO4. In the areas of drive, oscillation system, scissor-lift mechanism and operation, the EVO5 is identical to the EVO4.

The EVO5’s all-wheel steering ensures optimal driving behaviour without shifting the centre of gravity. This guarantees high safety and stability on all types of terrain. The steering allows turning in extremely tight spaces, making it easy to move from one row to the next.

The automatic steering system with ultrasonic sensors enables autonomous, centred or—if required—offset driving between tree rows. Using advanced SAMATEC technology, the sensors configure themselves fully automatically and switch independently between leaf mode and branch mode. The steering system adapts to the driving speed and stops the EVO5 at the end of the row.

The EVO5 is equipped as standard with an active sensor-controlled oscillation lock and tip-over protection.

Since all actuators are independently controlled, it is possible to raise the platform, steer and widen the extensions simultaneously without limiting any function.
